- Min Li, J. Ciu, J. Leung-Tack
- BiologyCarcinogenesis
- 1 April 2002
For the first time, Z-ajoene was shown to be a potent inhibitor of tumor cell growth both in vitro and in vivo and could provide a new approach in tumor therapy.
HUMAN 76P : A NEW MEMBER OF THE GAMMA -TUBULIN-ASSOCIATED PROTEIN FAMILY
- F. Fava, B. Raynaud-Messina, M. Wright
- Biology
- 15 November 1999
Surprisingly, h76p shares partial sequence identity with human centrosomal proteins h103p and h104p, suggesting a common protein core, and human γ-tubulin appears associated with at least three evolutionary related centrosome proteins, raising new questions about their functions at the molecular level.
Z-Ajoene Induces Apoptosis of HL-60 Cells: Involvement of Bcl-2 Cleavage
- Min Li, Ji-mei Min, J. Leung-Tack
- Biology, ChemistryNutrition and Cancer
- 1 March 2002
Z-ajoene, a sulfur-rich compound purified from garlic, induced time- and dose-dependent apoptosis in HL-60 cells and involved a reactive oxygen species-dependent pathway leading to caspase-dependent Bcl-2 cleavage.
