Magnetic levitation system is a highly nonlinear and open-loop unstable system. So, control of this system is a challenging problem. In this paper a nonlinear optimal controller based on Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman Partial Differential Equation (HJB PDE) is designed for this system.
