OBJECTIVES To determine the behavior of the visual cerebral cortex during the photo stimulation in the dissociated strabismus. MATERIAL AND METHODS We elaborated a digital cerebral mapping using the international 10-20 system with 21 electrodes and an option of a register of 32 channels with established parameters in every period (printed and with pulse(More)
In this article, several advanced connected transformations from mathematical morphology for computational neuroanat-omy applications are developed. In particular, brain is separated from the skull in MRI T 1 using morphological connected openings. The use of connected transformations allow the preservation of regions, without introduce new information. As(More)
A composition of the viscous opening and the lower leveling is introduced to extract brain in magnetic resonance imaging T1. The innovative transformation disconnects chained components and has better control on the reconstruction process of the marker inside of the original image. However, the sequential operator requires setting several parameters, making(More)
BACKGROUND Neurometry measures bioelectrical cerebral activity qualitatively and quantitatively and is obtained from digital cerebral mapping. This methodology allows determination of the efficiency of short and long association tracts contained in the white matter through coherence analysis. Our objective was to demonstrate neurometric alterations in the(More)
BACKGROUND We undertook this study to determine the cortical alterations related to the origin of dissociated deviation. METHODS This was a prospective, descriptive and observational study that included 10 children with diagnosis of dissociated horizontal deviation, without previous evidence of neuronal damage. Manual, cerebral and ocular dominance were(More)
It is my pleasure to present to the readers of the journal " Computación y Sistemas " the new volume of the journal. There are several interesting papers that may draw your attention. A new super image reconstruction algorithm is proposed in the paper " A Super-Resolution Image Reconstruction using Natural Neighbor Interpolation " by Christian J.(More)
In this paper a methodology to restore gray scale images with pixels polluted by random impulsive noise is presented. Noise is discovered using a criterion based on the white top-hat by reconstruction. Pixels detected as corrupted are restored using an iterative morphological algorithm built with extensive and antiex-tensive morphological transformations.(More)
