In this paper, the problem of reliability-based periodic preventive maintenance (PM) planning for systems with deteriorating components has been considered. The objective is to maintain a certain level of reliability with minimal total maintenance related cost. In the proposed approach, the planning horizon is divided into pre-specified inspection periods.(More)

An important topic in the manufacturing industries is the assessing of the lifetime performance. In this paper, it is supposed the lifetimes of products are independent and have a common Weibull distribution with a known shape parameter. The lifetime performance index (CL) proposed by Montgomery (1985) [1], is used for evaluating the performance of a(More)

In problems of testing statistical hypotheses, we may be confronted with fuzzy concepts. There are also situations in which the available data are record statistics such as weather and sports. In this paper, we consider the problem of testing fuzzy hypotheses on the basis of records. Pareto distribution is investigated in more details since it is used in(More)
In this paper, the likelihood ratio approach is applied for measuring evidence provided by record data in favor of a hypothesis against an alternative under a random sampling scheme. Explicit expressions for probabilities of observing strong andweak evidences are derived. Asymptotic behaviors of these probabilities are investigated in a greater detail.(More)
