Revision of the Talbragar Fish Bed Flora (Jurassic) of New South Wales

The three well known form-species of the Talbragar Fish Bed Flora-Podozamites lanceolatus, Elatocladus planus and Taeniopteris spa tu lata are redescribed and the minor components of the assemblage are described and illustrated, and in some cases, reclassified.
Experimental phylogenetics: generation of a known phylogeny.

A system based on serial propagation of bacteriophage T7 in the presence of a mutagen was used to create the first completely known phylogeny, which predicted the correct topology but varied in their predictions of branch lengths.

Evolution of predetermined germ cells in vertebrate embryos: implications for macroevolution

- BiologyEvolution & Development

The results indicate that regulative germ cell determination is a property of embryos retaining ancestral embryological processes, whereas predetermined germ cells are found in embryos with derived morphological traits, and suggest that regulate germ cell formation is an important developmental constraint in vertebrate embryos.
PHYLOGENETIC ANALYSIS OF SPERM STORAGE IN FEMALE SQUAMATES
- M. E. Eckstut, D. Sever, M. White, B. Crother
- Biology, Environmental Science
- 2009
The preliminary results indicate that further comparative work on sperm storage traits may be useful in phylogenetic analyses, and the hypothesis that sperm storage may offer reciprocal illumination in choosing among hypotheses of squamate phylogeny is tested.

Palm‐Pitviper (Bothriechis) Phylogeny, mtDNA, and Consilience
- Travis W. Taggart, B. Crother, M. White
- Biology

It is argued that mtDNA represents extrinsic data and as such should be used as a consilient data set in the inference of Bothriechis phylogeny and is hypothesized that the incongruence is due to both mtDNA introgression and lineage sorting.
