Oral, short-term exposure to titanium dioxide nanoparticles in Sprague-Dawley rat: focus on reproductive and endocrine systems and spleen
TLDR
In the spleen of treated animals TiO2 aggregates and increased white pulp were detected, even though Ti tissue levels remained low reflecting the low doses and the short exposure time, and prompted to comprehensively assess endocrine and reproductive effects in the safety evaluation of nanomaterials.
Effect of graphitization on the wettability and electrical conductivity of CVD-carbon nanotubes and films.
TLDR
This paper presents a strategy for modifying the surface chemistry, wettability, and electrical conductivity of carbon tubes and films through annealing in a vacuum with 60-300 nm nanotubes (nanopipes).
Carbon nanotube/nanodiamond structures: An innovative concept for stable and ready-to-start electron emitters
Efficient and robust cold cathodes have been assembled using as emitting material mats of single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) coated with nanodiamonds. The preparation of the hybrid
Controlled evolution of carbon nanotubes coated by nanodiamond. the realization of a new class of hybrid nanomaterials
We report a new class of nanostructured carbon materials, which couple nanosized diamond with single-walled carbon nanotubes. This exciting material is being produced in our laboratories in a
Silver Nanoparticles Stabilized with Thiols: A Close Look at the Local Chemistry and Chemical Structure
The local atomic structure and chemical nature of newly synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) functionalized with the organic thiol allylmercaptane (AM) have been probed combining synchrotron
Nanodiamonds for field emission: state of the art.
The aim of this review is to highlight the recent advances and the main remaining challenges related to the issue of electron field emission (FE) from nanodiamonds. The roadmap for FE vacuum
