Satkara (Citrus macroptera) Fruit Protects against Acetaminophen-Induced Hepatorenal Toxicity in Rats
Pretreatment with EECM prior to acetaminophen administration significantly improved all investigated biochemical parameters, that is, transaminase activities, alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase, γ-glutamyl transferase activities and total bilirubin, total cholesterol, triglyceride and creatinine, urea, uric acid, sodium, potassium and chloride ions, and TBARS levels.
Protective Effect of Sundarban Honey against Acetaminophen-Induced Acute Hepatonephrotoxicity in Rats
Findings indicate that Sundarban honey protects against APAP-induced acute hepatic and renal damage, which could be attributed to the honey's antioxidant properties.
Comparative study on antitumor activity of three pteridophytes ethanol extracts.
The extracts from twigs of three Pteridophytes were investigated for antitumor properties and significant tumor inhibition was observed at 10, 100 and 1000 ppm of plant extracts on potato disc induced by Agrobacterium tumefaciens indicating their presence of tumor inhibitor metabolites.
Effect of Ananas comosus L. juice on the efficacy of glimepiride in alloxan induced diabetic rats
Results suggest Pineapple juice ingestion increases the efficacy of glimepiride may be by inhibiting intestinal CYP2C9 enzyme in albino wistar rats.
Influence of itraconazole on the pharmacodynamics of gliclazide in normal and diabetic rats
Itraconazole enhanced the hypoglycemic activity of Gliclazide in normal rats, possibly by the inhibition of CYP2C9 enzyme (unpublished data).
Screening of MDR-bacteria from fecal specimens of AAD patient and inhibit them using fruits extracts of Moringa oleifera Lam.
The fruit extract showed a broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against isolated four species of MDRB and can be used to discover antibacterial agent for developing new pharmaceuticals to control different severe illness caused by MRD bacteria.
