This mHealth diabetes app with the use of gamification incentives showed an improvement in the frequency of blood glucose monitoring in adolescents with type 1 diabetes.
Consensus Statement on the Use of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Analogs in Children
The conference did not endorse commonly voiced concerns regarding the use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogs, such as promotion of weight gain or long-term diminution of bone mineral density.
Lin28a transgenic mice manifest size and puberty phenotypes identified in human genetic association studies
A mouse is reported that models the human phenotypes associated with genetic variation in the Lin28–Let-7 pathway and observed increased body size, crown-rump length and delayed onset of puberty in these transgenic mice.

The results indicate that adolescents with PCOS are at increased risk for IGT and DM and that the 2-h plasma glucose level after an oral glucose challenge appears to be the most reliable screening test for these abnormalities.
Adrenal Insufficiency: Still a Cause of Morbidity and Death in Childhood
Current knowledge of the incidence, diagnosis, and treatment of adrenal insufficiency in children and factors precipitating adrenal crisis are summarized and suggested for prevention in patients at risk and for health care professionals and families.
Variation in the timing of puberty: clinical spectrum and genetic investigation.
How new advances in genetic research may provide the tools to help unravel the mystery of the factors that regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis and modulate the timing of puberty are discussed.
Delayed puberty: analysis of a large case series from an academic center.
The results underscore the importance of performing a thorough evaluation and family history in adolescents with delayed puberty and provide clues for unraveling the mechanism(s) of idiopathic pubertal delay and lead to the hypothesis that the pubertals seen among some subjects with FHH and CD may stem in part from similar underlying physiology.
Clinical practice. Delayed puberty.

Clinical review: Distinguishing constitutional delay of growth and puberty from isolated hypogonadotropic hypogonadism: critical appraisal of available diagnostic tests.
Current literature does not allow for recommendation of any diagnostic test for routine clinical use, making this an important area for future investigation.
