Reproductive biology of Atlantoraja cyclophora (Regan 1903) (Elasmobranchii: Rajidae) off southern Brazil
In adult females, there was an ovarian resting period at an individual level, though it was not synchronized at a population level, and distribution of egg-bearing females was not related to depth or species' range.
The reproductive biology and cycle of Rioraja agassizi (Müller and Henle, 1841) (Chondrichthyes: Rajidae) in southeastern Brazil, SW Atlantic Ocean
Universidade Estadual Paulista Departamento de Ecologia, Campus Rio Claro offers courses in ecology and natural resources management to students from around the country and around the world.
Pleistocene colonisation of the Bismarck Archipelago: new evidence from West New Britain
Abstract The geological and archaeological signatures at the site of Kupona na Dari on the Willaumez Peninsula, West New Britain provide important new data about human colonisation of the Bismarck
Reproductive biology of Zearaja chilensis (Chondrichthyes: Rajidae) in the south-east Pacific Ocean.
Although the largest Z. chilensis captured by the artisanal fishery was 155 cm L(T) , 89% of landings comprised relatively small, immature fish, which may compromise the stock integrity if intrinsic vulnerability and probable long-life span of Z. Chilensis are considered.
reproductive biology and seasonal distribution of mustelus schmitti (elasmobranchii: triakidae) in the rio de la plata oceanic front, south-western atlantic
The population structure and reproductive biology of mustelus schmitti was analysed during autumn and spring in the rio de la plata oceanic front and the mean tl of embryos was significantly higher in spring, suggesting that parturition occurs in late spring and summer.
Length-weight relationships, condition and population structure of the genus Atlantoraja (Elasmobranchii, Rajidae, Arhynchobatinae) in Southeastern Brazilian waters, SW Atlantic Ocean

Egg capsules of the dusky catshark Bythaelurus canescens (Carcharhiniformes, Scyliorhinidae) from the south-eastern Pacific Ocean.
The external morphology of the egg capsule of Bythaelurus canescens and its fixation to the substratum are described, revealing the presence of longitudinal ridges and long coiled tendrils at both anterior and posterior ends of the capsule.
Egg capsules of the yellownose skate Zearaja chilensis (Guichenot 1848) and the roughskin skate Dipturus trachyderma (Krefft and Stehmann 1974) (Rajiformes: Rajidae) from the south-eastern Pacific
This is the first report on egg-laying rate of Z. chilensis and D. trachyderma from the south-eastern Pacific Ocean and the first description of egg capsules of both species.
