EA and TEA significantly and dose-dependently inhibited sorbitol accumulation in erythrocytes, lens and sciatic nerve under incubating with glucose in vitro and in vivo, suggesting that the inhibitory activity of EA against AR causes to inhibit sorbitl accumulation by in vitroand in vivo experiments.
