Effect of exogenous ABA on somatic embryo maturation and germination in Persian walnut (Juglans regia L.)
- K. Vahdati, Shima Bayat, H. Ebrahimzadeh, M. Jariteh, M. Mirmasoumi
- BiologyPlant Cell Tissue and Organ Culture
- 5 March 2008
While ABA always reduced the rate of secondary embryogenesis, treatments containing 4.0% sucrose significantly increased the number of secondary embryos and sucrose had little influence on maturation.
Somatic embryogenesis and plant regeneration of Lilium ledebourii (Baker) Boiss., an endangered species
- Mehdi Bakhshaie, M. Babalar, M. Mirmasoumi, A. Khalighi
- BiologyPlant Cell Tissue and Organ Culture
- 24 March 2010
A somatic embryogenesis protocol was established for the regeneration of Lilium ledebourii (Baker) Boiss and the type of plant growth regulators affected the differentiation of somatic embryos.
Developmental changes of protein, proline and some antioxidant enzymes activities in somatic and zygotic embryos of Persian walnut (Juglans regia L.)
- M. Jariteh, H. Ebrahimzadeh, V. Niknam, M. Mirmasoumi, K. Vahdati
- BiologyPlant Cell Tissue and Organ Culture
- 19 March 2015
The results showed that CAT, POX, PPO and SOD not only could be considered as markers for developmental stages of somatic embryos both quantitatively and qualitatively but also could reflect the differences between in vivo and in vitro condition.
Coconut Water and Peptone Improve Seed Germination and Protocorm Like Body Formation of Hybrid Phalaenopsis
- Parisa Shekarriz, M. Kafi, Shirin Dianati Deilamy, M. Mirmasoumi
- Biology
- 1 October 2014
Overall, this study showed that Phalaenopsis seeds cultured on a ½ MS medium containing CW and peptone can be used for clone propagation.
Effects of ventilation and sucrose concentrations on the growth and plantlet anatomy of micropropagated Persian walnut plants.
- Amin Hassankhah, K. Vahdati, M. Lotfi, M. Mirmasoumi, J. Preece, M. Assareh
- Biology
- 1 December 2014
The purpose of this study was to increase the chlorophyll content and photosynthetic ability of shoots grown in vitro and to improve the adaptation of walnut plantlets.
Exogenous application of penconazole regulates plant growth and antioxidative responses in salt-stressed Mentha pulegium L.
- M. Merati, H. Hassanpour, V. Niknam, M. Mirmasoumi
- Chemistry
- 2 January 2014
The mechanism of growth amelioration in salt-stressed pennyroyal (Mentha pulegium L.) was investigated by exogenous application of penconazole (PEN). Seven weeks after sowing, seedlings were treated…
Effects of light, sucrose, and cytokinins on somatic embryogenesis in Lilium ledebourii (Baker) Bioss. via transverse thin cell-layer cultures of bulblet microscales
- Mehdi Bakhshaie, M. Babalar, M. Mirmasoumi, A. Khalighi
- Biology
- 1 January 2010
An improved propagation method to rescue Lilium ledebourii (Baker) Boiss, and the effects of sucrose concentration, light, and different cytokinins on somatic embryogenesis are determined.
Determination of Metal Content in Crocus sativus L. Corms in Dormancy and Waking Stages
- N. Esmaeili, H. Ebrahimzadeh, K. Abdi, M. Mirmasoumi, N. Lamei, Mehrdad Azizi Shamami
- Chemistry, MedicineIranian journal of pharmaceutical research
- 2 March 2013
The mineral elements content in saffron corms showed a wide variability and their concentrations in dormancy stage were higher than waking and despite of the fact that K concentration was the highest among all mineral elements studied in both samples, it was nil for Sc, Co, Hg, Pb and Cd.
Analysis of in-vitro explants mineral contents to modify medium mineral composition for enhancing growth of Persian walnut (Juglans regia L.).
- E. Ashrafi, K. Vahdati, H. Ebrahimzadeh, M. Mirmasoumi
- Biology
- 2010
Results suggested that micropropagation in a medium containing mineral balance similar to that in explants may hold a hypertonic concentration of minerals for them to move from medium to explant and therefore will obtain better growth and proliferation conditions for explants.
Content of different groups of phenolic compounds in microshoots of Juglans regia cultivars and studies on antioxidant activity
- M. Cheniany, H. Ebrahimzadeh, K. Vahdati, J. Preece, Ali Masoudinejad, M. Mirmasoumi
- ChemistryActa Physiologiae Plantarum
- 12 January 2013
Phenolic and other compounds were extracted from micropropagated axillary shoots (microshoots) of the walnut (Juglans regia L.) cultivars ‘Chandler’, ‘Howard’, ‘Kerman’, ‘Sunland’, and ‘Z63’. Among…
