It is argued that mobile access will become, in addition to data centers and PCs, another contributing factor from the ICT sector to greenhouse gas emissions and that current mobile access technologies limit further network expansion in rural areas.
Capabilities of application-level traffic measurements to differentiate and classify Internet traffic
Measurements and analysis of various packet and flow statistics indicate that no single statistic is able to classify application flows with reasonable certainty but that this might be achieved when several statistics and their analysis results are combined.

Criticism is suggested to be used when making judgements about algorithm performance based on simulation results after the observation that deviations between simulations and measurements are mainly caused by complex measurement and calculation procedures that generate extra delays in real implementations.
