Synthesis of biodegradable poly(L-lactic acid-co-D,L-mandelic acid) with relatively low molecular weight
A homopolymer of L-lactic acid (LA), which was synthesized by direct polycondensation in the absence of a catalyst at 200°C, is crystalline, in contrast to the homopolymer of D,L-mandelic acid (MA)
Thermo-responsive hydrogels based on acryloyl-L-proline methyl ester and their use as long-acting testosterone delivery systems.
TLDR
The poly(A-ProOMe-co-HPMA) hydrogel was characterized by an initial rapid shrinkage at the surface in the deswollen state; this shrinkage arose because of the formation of a rigid membrane barrier devoid of micropores, and the system is therefore 'surface regulated'.
