Both anthraquinone and methanolic extracts of Cassia fistula have dose dependent prophylactic and therapeutic anti-arthritic potential albeit lesser than naproxen 25mg/kg, to reduce the swelling of hind paw and deformity of interphalangeal joints on radiological examination.
