With small variations, these C/EBP family members showed similar sequence preferences, and the consensus sequence was identified as RTTGCGYAAY (R = A or G, and Y = C or T), and the phosphorylation of C/ EBP by casein kinase II increased the binding activity, but did not affect the binding specificity.
Estrogenic Activities of 517 Chemicals by Yeast Two-Hybrid Assay

A simple and rapid screening method using the yeast two-hybrid system based on the ligand-dependent interaction of nuclear hormone receptors with coactivators to test the estrogenic activity of chemicals.
The Peroxisome Proliferator-activated Receptor γ Regulates Expression of the Perilipin Gene in Adipocytes*

Treatment of differentiating 3T3-L1 adipocytes with an agonist of proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) γ, the putative “master regulator” of adipocyte differentiation, significantly augmented perilipin gene expression, and PPARγ2, an isoform exclusively expressed in adipocytes, was found to be the most potent regulator from among the PPAR family members including PPARα andPPARγ1.
Redox regulation of glutathione S-transferase induction by benzyl isothiocyanate: correlation of enzyme induction with the formation of reactive oxygen intermediates.

The involvement of the redox regulation on the induction of GSTP1 by BITC is suggested, as well as the structure-activity relationship of the isothiocyanates, which indicated that the ROI-producing activities closely correlated with their GST-inducing potencies.

A cell culture system that potently responds to phenolic antioxidants and found that antitumor prostaglandins (PGs) are potential inducers of GSTs, and suggests that 15-deoxy-Δ12,14-PGJ2 induces the expression of the ratGSTP1 gene through binding of proteins, including c-Jun, to a specific GPEI.

A top-down liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC/ESI-MS/MS) shotgun analysis method for phospholipids (PLs) using a normal-phase column or a C30 reverse- phase column with the data-dependent MS/MS scanning mode is established.
Factor for adipocyte differentiation 158 gene disruption prevents the body weight gain and insulin resistance induced by a high-fat diet.

Fad158 is a key factor in the development of obesity and insulin resistance caused by a high-fat diet, and the knockdown of fad158 expression prevented the differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells into adipocytes and improved insulin resistance induced by the high-Fat diet.
