Urokinase Receptor Mediates Doxorubicin-Induced Vascular Smooth Muscle Cell Senescence via Proteasomal Degradation of TRF2
It is demonstrated that uPAR controls the ubiquitin-proteasome system in VSMC and regulates doxorubicin-induced TRF2 ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation via this mechanism, which may contribute to vascular damage upon doxorbicin treatment.
Relationship between sperm chromatin status and ICSI outcome in men with obstructive azoospermia and unexplained infertile normozoospermia.
In epididymal group the percentage of sperms stained with AB, CMA3 and TB were significantly higher compared to ejaculate group while fertilization rate was significantly lower, but embryo quality was not significantly different between two groups.
Relative Expression of OCT4, SOX2 and NANOG in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma Versus Adjacent Non- Tumor Tissue

Objective: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) accounts for over 90% of oral neoplasms. Finding molecular markers for predicting prognosis is a high priority. The core transcription factors, OCT4,…
Environmental toxicants, incidence of degenerative diseases, and therapies from the epigenetic point of view
This review presented comprehensive data on epigenetic alterations identified in various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, pulmonary conditions as well as cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and bone disease.
Effects of Sperm Chromatin Integrity on Fertilization Rate and Embryo Quality Following Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

Sperm chromatin integrity is essential for successful fertilization, embryo development and normal pregnancy, and the presence of confounding factors such as selection of spermatozoa according to normal morphology may influence the effect of sperm chromatin status on ICSI outcomes.
Loss of Urokinase Receptor Sensitizes Cells to DNA Damage and Delays DNA Repair
The involvement of the serine protease urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) in DDR-associated regulation of proteasome and deficiency of uPAR and PSMD6 delays DNA repair and leads to decreased cell survival is found.
Molecular evidence on the protective effect of ellagic acid on phosalone-induced senescence in rat embryonic fibroblast cells.
A systematic review on the role of environmental toxicants in stem cells aging.
Growing knowledge of using embryonic stem cells as a novel tool in developmental risk assessment of environmental toxicants.
