The high precision of the classifier showed that the method using images captured in the Ultraviolet A region (365 nm) could be easily used to classify black oat seeds according to their health status, and results can be achieved more rapidly and effectively compared to conventional methods.
Efficiency of Blotter test and agar culture medium to detect Fusarium graminearum and Pyricularia grisea in wheat seeds
Results suggested that most part of P. grisea inoculum was presented externally on seed tissues, and the Blotter test with freezing was more efficient to detect P.grisea while the PDA medium was moreefficient to detect F. graminearum.

Evaluating the sanity and germination of tobacco seed samples cultivated in Brazil and to identify potential pathogenic fungi to the culture found significative positive correlation between the incidence of A. alternata and the percentage of seed germination.

Results demonstrated that the LDA-based models were efficient in detecting and identifying different species of fungi in cowpea seeds, indicating that the MSI technique in combination with statistical models can be a useful tool for evaluating the health status of cowpeA seeds.
TRANSMISSION OF Sclerotinia sclerotiorum FROM SOYBEAN SEED TO SEEDLINGS
Results showed that a lower emergence percentage and speed was obtained after 24h inoculation without asepsis; the transmission of S. sclerotiorum occurred from soybean seeds to symptomatic seedlings, indicating there was no transmission.

A multiplex quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) assay was developed to simultaneously detect and quantify the three pathogens in soybean seeds and to survey their occurrence in the main soybean production areas in Brazil, indicating its usefulness for a quick and reliable diagnosis of soybean diseases in seeds.
