Aims: The traditional uses of the aerial parts of fresh Plectranthus cylindraceus by the Dhofaris in Oman were investigated on the basis of antimicrobial properties and composition of its herb oil.

Activity-guided fractionation of the stem bark of Annona senegalensis gave four bioactive ent-kaurenoids that showed selective and significant cytotoxicity for MCF-7 (breast cancer) cells and exhibited cytotoxic selectivity for PC-3 (prostate cancer) Cells but with weaker potencies.
