The application of a new type of surface-photosensitized terbium NPs for autofluorescence-free intracellular imaging in live HeLa cells shows the unprecedented photophysical properties of Tb-NPs for live-cell imaging that extend well beyond currently available nanometric imaging agents.

Ex vivo/in vitro, it is found that NGF promotes pulmonary vascular cell proliferation and migration, pulmonary arterial hyperreactivity, and secretion of proinflammatory cytokines, and in vivo it is demonstrated that anti-NGF blocking antibodies prevent and reverse PH in rats through significant reduction of pulmonary arterials inflammation, hyperre activity, and remodeling.
