An Analog Characterization of the Grzegorczyk Hierarchy
- M. Campagnolo, C. Moore, José Félix Costa
- Mathematics, Computer ScienceJournal of Complexity
- 4 December 2002
It is claimed that, at least in this region of the complexity hierarchy, there is a close connection between analog complexity classes, the dynamical systems that compute them, and classical sets of subrecursive functions.
Robust Simulations of Turing Machines with Analytic Maps and Flows
- D. Graça, M. Campagnolo, J. Buescu
- MathematicsConference on Computability in Europe
- 8 June 2005
It is shown that closed-form analytic maps and flows can simulate Turing machines in an error-robust manner and are explicitly obtained and the simulation is performed in real time.
Reliable Crop Identification with Satellite Imagery in the Context of Common Agriculture Policy Subsidy Control
- J. Schmedtmann, M. Campagnolo
- Environmental ScienceRemote Sensing
- 22 July 2015
The objective of this study was to develop a reliable control system to partially replace CAPI for crop identification, with the overreaching goal of reducing control costs and completion time.

- 16 January 2014
This paper estimates the point spread function (PSF) of nominal 250-m MODIS gridded surface reflectance products from sequences of daily images over man-made large-size targets and discusses some implications of the reliance on a global fixed grid, such as the MODIS sinusoidal grid, on the relation between location and spatial resolution.
The General Purpose Analog Computer and Computable Analysis are Two Equivalent Paradigms of Analog Computation
- Olivier Bournez, M. Campagnolo, D. Graça, Emmanuel Hainry
- Computer Science, MathematicsTheory and Applications of Models of Computation
- 15 May 2006
This paper revisits one of the first models of analog computation, Shannon's General Purpose Analog Computer (GPAC), and shows that all real computable functions can be defined by such models.

A Survey on Continuous Time Computations
- Olivier Bournez, M. Campagnolo
- Mathematics, EconomicsArXiv
- 17 July 2009
We provide an overview of theories of continuous time computation. These theories allow us to understand both the hardness of questions related to continuous time dynamical systems and the…
