Analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities of a fraction rich in oncocalyxone A isolated from Auxemma oncocalyx.
Results show that quinone fraction isolated from the heartwood of Auxemma oncocalyx Taub significantly inhibited paw edema induced by carrageenan at the second, third, and fourth hours, and QF was less effective orally. Expand
Inhibition of platelet activation by quinones isolated from Auxemma oncocalyx Taub.
The results show that the quinone fraction (QF) is a reversible and concentration-dependent inhibitor of human platelet aggregation induced by ADP, arachidonic acid (AA), collagen and thrombin, and possibly acts through a combined cyclo-oxygenase and TxA2 synthase inhibition. Expand
Toxicity to sea urchin egg development of the quinone fraction obtained from Auxemma oncocalyx.
The ability of the water soluble fraction isolated from the heartwood of A. oncocalyx to inhibit sea urchin egg development is investigated and it is suggested that this activity is due to the presence of oncocalypsexone A. Expand
Oncocalyxone A inhibits human platelet aggregation by increasing cGMP and by binding to GP Ibα glycoprotein
Oncocalyxone A has a concentration‐dependent anti‐platelet activity and the mechanisms related to this effect are further understood. Expand
