Expression of estrogen receptor-related receptors, a subfamily of orphan nuclear receptors, as new tumor biomarkers in ovarian cancer cells
- P. Sun, J. Sehouli, W. Lichtenegger
- BiologyJournal of molecular medicine
- 16 March 2005
HERRα may represent a biomarker of poor prognosis, and hERRγ may be a new therapeutic target in ovarian cancer.
Screening of high-yielding biocontrol bacterium Bs-916 mutant by ion implantation
- Dequan Li, Fen Nie, Lihui Wei, Ben-Qing Wei, Zhiyi Chen
- BiologyApplied Microbiology and Biotechnology
- 5 June 2007
The results suggested that the surfactin produced by Bs-916 plays an important role in the suppression of sheath blight and showed that the B's-H74 mutant strain is a better biocontrol agent than the parental strain.
Targeting macrophage necroptosis for therapeutic and diagnostic interventions in atherosclerosis
- D. Karunakaran, M. Geoffrion, K. Rayner
- BiologyScience Advances
- 1 July 2016
It is shown that necroptotic cell death is activated in human advanced atherosclerotic plaques and can be targeted in experimental atherosclerosis for both therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, and suggested that this pathway can be used as both a diagnostic and therapeutic tool for the treatment of unstable Atherosclerosis.
Sorting and identification of side population cells in the human cervical cancer cell line HeLa
SP cells possess some characteristics of CSCs, namely high proliferation ability, chemoresistance and radioresistance, which may be helpful to elucidate novel targets for effective clinical treatments of cervical cancer in the future.

Noninvasive measurement of absolute MBF with stationary dedicated cardiac SPECT is feasible using common perfusion tracers using 3 common tracers.
Rhizosphere Microbiomes from Root Knot Nematode Non-infested Plants Suppress Nematode Infection
- Dongmei Zhou, Hui Feng, Lihui Wei
- Biology, MedicineMicrobial Ecology
- 21 January 2019
The findings suggest that microbes may regulate RKN infection in plants and are involved in biocontrol of RKN.
Clinical implications and prognostic value of single and combined biomarkers in endometrial carcinoma.
- Mingzhu Li, Lijun Zhao, D. Shen, Xiaoping Li, Jianliu Wang, Lihui Wei
- MedicineChinese Medical Journal
- 2014
The combined type of ER+PR+P53-PTEN+ was in the majority in endometrial cancer and seemed to be related to better clinical outcome and was strongly associated with poorest survival rate.
Bifunctional single amino acid chelates for labeling of biomolecules with the {Tc(CO)3}+ and {Re(CO)3}+ cores. Crystal and molecular structures of [ReBr(CO)3(H2NCH2 C5H4N)], [Re(CO)3{(C5H4…

Ursolic acid inhibits colorectal cancer angiogenesis through suppression of multiple signaling pathways.
- Jiumao Lin, You-qin Chen, Lihui Wei, Z. Hong, T. Sferra, Jun Peng
- BiologyInternational Journal of Oncology
- 1 November 2013
It is found that administration of UA significantly inhibited tumor volume but had no effect on body weight changes in CRC mice, suggesting that UA can suppress colon cancer growth in vivo without noticeable signs of toxicity.
