Acute Hepatitis Associated with the Chinese Herbal Product Jin Bu Huan
Seven adult patients (including the previously described patients) who ingested Jin Bu Huan are described and possible mechanisms for Jinbu Huan hepatotoxicity are discussed and serologic test results in all patients were negative for antinuclear, anti-smooth muscle, and antimitochondrial antibodies. Influence of polymer-surfactant interactions on o/w emulsion properties and microcapsule formation.
It was concluded that the emulsion characteristics depend strongly on the interaction mechanism, and the highest encapsulation efficiency was found in the interaction region, corresponding to HPMC-SDS interactions in the continuous phase. Expand
Chromatography in our investigations of camomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.)
SummaryChromatographic methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis of non-volatile and volatile compounds of camomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.) are described. For determination of flavonoidsExpand
Influence of hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose-sodium dodecylsulfate interaction on the solution conductivity and viscosity and emulsion stability
Abstract The conductivity, viscosity and rheological measurements were used to study the interaction of HPMC with an anionic surfactant-sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) in aqueous solutions of differentExpand
Influence of enzymatic hydrolysis on solubility, interfacial and emulsifying properties of pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) seed protein isolate
Abstract Pumpkin seed protein isolate (PSPI) was enzymatically hydrolyzed by alcalase and pepsin to obtain H1 and H2 hydrolysates, respectively. Influence of enzymatic hydrolysis on solubility,Expand
Microencapsulation of oil by polymer mixture-ionic surfactant interaction induced coacervation
Abstract In a ternary mixture composed of 0.7% hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC), 0.3% sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (NaCMC), and 0.00–2.00% sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) various interactionsExpand
An investigation of CO2 extraction of marigold (Calendula officinalis L.)
Essential oil content (0.05 %) of marigold (Calendula officinalis L.) was de- termined using the official steam distillation procedure. High-pressure CO 2 extraction of plant material underExpand
Influence of gelatin–sodium stearoyl lactylate interaction on the rheological properties of gelatin gels
Abstract Addition of surfactants to the polymer solutions induces changes in the bulk of solutions as well as at the interface due to their interactions, thus changing the properties of the systems.Expand
Composition of Essential Oil Obtained From Tubular, Head and Ligulate Flowers of Calendula officinalis L. by Steam Distillation of Plant Material and CO2 Extracts
Abstract Essential oil content of tubular, head and ligulate flowers of Calendula officinalis L. were determined using official steam distillation procedure. It was found that the ligulate flowerExpand
Behavior of (–)-α-Bisabolol and (–)-α-Bisabololoxides A and B in Camomile Flower Extraction with Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
Abstract A systematic study of the extraction behavior of selected components of camomile flowers in extraction with supercritical carbon dioxide was carried out. (–)-α-Bisabolol and its A and BExpand
