The toxicology of an original Soviet antidepressant inkasan-3-methyl-8-methoxy-3H, 1,2,5,6-tetrahydropyrazino [1,2,3-ab] beta-carboline hydrochloride was studied in different types of experimental animals (mice, rats, rabbits, dogs). It has been demonstrated in different species of experimental animals (mice, rats, cats, dogs) that the Soviet drug pyrazidol is a little toxic drug. Prolonged repeated administration of pyrazidol does not exert any damaging action on the vitally important organs and systems of the body. Pyrazidol is less toxic than imipramine.
A series of tertiary amine hydrochloride, derivatives of 3-benzyl-3,9-diazabicyclo[3,3,1]nonane, was synthesized.

The hydrochloride of the tropine ester of β-acetoxyphenyl-α-phenylpropionic acid (tropaphen) causes reduction in resistance and dilation of the peripheral vessels and is a highly active adrenolytic agent. By the power and the length of its action it exceeds regitin (phentolamine) and benzolin (tolazoline).
