A new cicada genus and a redescription of Pauropsalta subolivacea Ashton (Hemiptera: Cicadidae) from Eastern Australia.
The acutely extended, straight to slightly inward facing upper lobes of the pyGofer, in combination with undeveloped basal pygofer lobes and lack of pseudoparameres, distinguishes this new monotypic genus from all others in the tribe Cicadettini.
A revision of the Pauropsalta annulata Goding & Froggatt species group (Hemiptera: Cicadidae) based on morphology, calling songs and ecology, with investigations into calling song structure,…

A revision of the Pauropsalta annulata species group is provided and includes redescriptions of P. rubristrigata (Goding and Froggatt) and P. ayrensis Ewart, as well as descriptions of 11 species new to science, containing the greatest diversity in calling songs, ecology and distribution.
The structure of calling songs in the cicada Pauropsalta annulata Goding and Froggatt (Hemiptera: Cicadidae): evidence of diverging populations?
Investigating the rhythmic song structure across the range of three known song types in a variable cicada, Pauropsalta annulata Goding and Froggatt reveals four discrete clusters that are demonstrated to be independent and stable across extensive geographic space in areas of allopatry and, generally, also into areas of sympatry.

A spatial analysis of the ecology and morphology of cicadas in the Pauropsalta annulata species complex (Hemiptera: Cicadidae)
Spatial comparisons made in this study suggest that the P. annulata song types investigated actually represent three species, and one of these species is represented by two of the song types originally recognized, and these appear to intergrade in sympatry, and thus represent subspecies.
A redescription of Yoyetta landsboroughi (Distant) and Y. tristrigata (Goding and Froggatt) (Hemiptera: Cicadidae) and description of four new related species.
This study provides redescriptions of two small cicada species, Yoyetta landsboroughi (Distant) and Y. tristrigata (Goding and Froggatt), from eastern Australia, based on a detailed morphological…
New species of Simona Moulds, 2012 and Chelapsalta Moulds, 2012 cicadas (Cicadidae: Cicadettinae: Cicadettini) from Australia: comparative morphology, songs, behaviour and distributions.

It is suggested that, although the two genera of Simona and Chelapsalta are morphologically similar, the calling songs, behaviour and habitats do distinguish them, at least as represented by these species documented.
A revision of the Yoyetta abdominalis (Distant) species group of cicadas (Hemiptera: Cicadidae: Cicadettinae), introducing eight new species
Redescriptions of four medium-sized cicada species within the Y. abdominalis (Distant) species group, including Yoyetta aaede (Walker), Y. abdomenis, denisoni and Y. hunterorum (Moulds) are presented and its song described.
