F-LQE: A Fuzzy Link Quality Estimator for Wireless Sensor Networks
- Nouha Baccour, A. Koubâa, L. Becker
- Computer Science, BusinessEuropean Conference/Workshop on Wireless Sensor…
- 17 February 2010
An extensive experimental analysis shows that F-LQE outperforms existing estimators, that estimates link quality on the basis of four link quality properties: packet delivery, asymmetry, stability, and channel quality.

- 15 March 2000
A novel approach to the automatic identification of objects/classes from a system specification aimed at the development of distributed real time systems (DRTS), especially those conceived for industrial automation applications is presented.
Optimizing Real-Time Embedded Systems Development Using a RTSJ-Based API
- M. A. Wehrmeister, L. Becker, C. Pereira
- Computer ScienceOTM Workshops
- 25 October 2004
An API based on the RTSJ that optimizes real-time embedded systems development and the use of the proposed API is illustrated by means of a case study that implements a crane control system.
Robust scheduling in team-robotics
- L. Becker, E. Nett, S. Schemmer, M. Gergeleit
- Computer Science, BusinessProceedings International Parallel and…
- 22 April 2003
This paper sketches a fusion algorithm for laser-scanner data and derives the requirements that the execution of this algorithm has on the underlying system infrastructure, especially CPU-scheduling, and shows that a scheduling algorithm is needed that fulfills timing guarantees without using worst case execution times (WCET).
A testbed for the evaluation of link quality estimators in wireless sensor networks
- Nouha Baccour, M. Jamaa, L. Becker
- Computer ScienceACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer…
- 16 May 2010
A benchmarking testbed is built - RadiaLE, that automates LQEs evaluation by analyzing their statistical properties and carried out a comparative performance study of a set of well-known LQE estimators.

- Computer Science, EngineeringIEEE International Conference on Emerging…
- 1 September 2016
A MDE solution that allows the designers to represent and integrate the sensing and actuation subsystems on the applications, using as input a sensors and actuators library and a functional specification of the control system.
Smart data collection in large scale sparse WSNs
- Ali Sayyed, G. Araújo, L. Becker
- Computer ScienceWireless and Mobile Networking Conference
- 11 July 2016
This paper presents an adaptive algorithm and control parameters that the MDC uses for autonomously controlling its motion and shows significant advantages for sparsely deployed, large scale sensor networks and heterogeneous networks (where sensors have variable sampling rates).
