It is reported that acquired depigmentation in water buffalo recapitulates molecular, histological, immunohistochemical, and ultrastructural changes observed in human vitiligo and hence could be used as a model to study Vitiligo pathogenesis and facilitate the discovery and evaluation of therapeutic interventions for vitiliga.
