We have experienced 56 cases of advanced and recurrent colorectal carcinoma treated with 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU)/l-Leucovorin (LV) therapy from January 2000 to March 2005. The RPMI regimen was employed, but 5-FU was administered at the dose of 500 mg/body for the first cycle and 750 mg/body for subsequent cycles, thanks to its safety, economy, and simplicity.(More)
A 56-year-old Japanese woman who underwent a curative resection of ascending colon cancer at 43 years of age was found to have a tumor in her lower left abdominal cavity by computed tomography at 53 years of age.
