A potentially important exposure route for humans is the ingestion of chemicals via drinking water. If comprehensive exposure assessments are to be completed for either existing or proposed new chemicals and cost effective control strategies developed, then a quantitative understanding of multimedia transport and fate of specific chemical pollutants must be… (More)
Phospholipids were found associated with isolated ribosomes fromBacillus megaterium. The 50S subunits contained a large amount of phospholipids than 30S subunits. The larger subunits contained a different proportion of individual phospholipids from the whole cells and were enriched in cardiolipin.
Several multimedia fate and transport models have been described. They basically fall into three classes: continuous (dynamic) site-specific models; generic (non-site-specific) screening models; and simple equilibrium partitioning screening models. The hydrologic components of site-specific models are all based on the Stanford Watershed Model. They all link… (More)
