Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is applied to an inverse scattering problem that estimates the dielectric constant and the radius of a circular cylinder from scattered waves. A modification of PSO is introduced in order to reduce computational complexity when multiple-frequency data is available.
Global optimization using interval analysis is applied to a simple inverse scattering problem that estimates the dielectric constant and the radius of a circular cylinder from scattered waves. Numerical results show that the presented algorithm recovers the parameters as a group of the intervals which contain fairly close values to the true ones without… (More)
UNLABELLED When MR images are obtained with the turbo spin echo (TSE) sequence, DRIVE can be used as a sequence in which the driven equilibrium pulse (DE pulse), a reset pulse, is applied at the TSE echo train to accelerate relaxation time and return to the equilibrium of Mz magnetization. In this study, we examined the extent to which TR could be shortened… (More)
