It is demonstrated that p62/SQSTM1 is required for TLR4-mediated autophagy, which it is indicated plays an essential role in the formation and the autophagic degradation of ALIS.
High catalytic activity of human cytochrome P450 co-expressed with human NADPH-cytochrome P450 reductase in Escherichia coli.
Antibacterial activity of coriander volatile compounds against Salmonella choleraesuis.

The time-kill curve study showed that these alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehydes are bactericidal against S. choleraesuis at any growth stage and that their bactericidal action comes in part from the ability to act as nonionic surfactants.
Cancer prevention by natural compounds.
Natural agents are advantageous for application to humans because of their combined mild mechanism and here they are reviewed based on in vivo studies with reference to their structures, sources and mechanisms of action.
Inhibition by green tea catechins of metabolic activation of procarcinogens by human cytochrome P450.
EFFECTS OF POMEGRANATE JUICE ON HUMAN CYTOCHROME P450 3A (CYP3A) AND CARBAMAZEPINE PHARMACOKINETICS IN RATS
It is discovered that a component(s) of pomegranate inhibits the human CYP3A-mediated metabolism of carbamazepine and alters the carbamazetine pharmacokinetics in rats.
Potent inhibition by star fruit of human cytochrome P450 3A (CYP3A) activity.

There has been very limited information on the capacities of tropical fruits to inhibit human cytochrome P450 3A (CYP3A) activity. Thus, the inhibitory effects of tropical fruits on midazolam…
Decline of erythromycin resistance of group A streptococci in Japan.

- Medicine, BiologyThe Pediatric infectious disease journal
- 1 December 1994
Six hundred seventy isolates from children with Group A streptococcal infections from 1981 through 1990 were typed serologically and their antibiotic susceptibilities were determined and chloramphenicol resistance was similar to that of erythromycin, and the tetracycline resistance rate decreased gradually from 60% to less than 20%.
Effect of early oral fluoroquinolones in hemorrhagic colitis due to Escherichia coli O157:H7
- M. Shiomi, M. Togawa, Ken-Ichi Fujita, R. Murata

The results indicate that oral fluoroquinolone therapy administered within 3 days of illness is effective in preventing the development of HUS; however, prospective randomized double‐blind studies on early antimicrobial therapy of O157 hemorrhagic colitis are necessary.
Attenuation of WNT signaling by DKK-1 and -2 regulates BMP2-induced osteoblast differentiation and expression of OPG, RANKL and M-CSF
The results suggest that inhibited Wnt/β-catenin signaling in BMP2-induced osteoprogenitors in vivo promotes, on balance, the heightened formation of osteoclasts.
