Andrographolide derivatives inhibit guanine nucleotide exchange and abrogate oncogenic Ras function

The combined analysis of the computational and cell biology results show that AGP derivatives directly bind Ras, block GDP–GTP exchange, and inhibit both wild-type and oncogenic K-Ras signaling, and demonstrate that inhibiting nucleotide exchange is a valid approach to abrogating the function of onCogenic mutant Ras.

A new labdane diterpene glucoside, curcumanggosides, together with nine known compounds, including labda-8(17),12-diene-15,16-dial, and scopoletin showed significant antioxidant activity and Zerumin B, demethoxycurcumin, bisdemethoxyCurcumin and curcumin also exhibited cytotoxic activity against a panel of five human tumor cell lines.
