An Alkaline Amylopullulanase from Alkalophilic Bacillus sp. KSM-1378; Kinetic Evidence for Two Independent Active Sites for the α-1,4 and α-1,6 Hydrolytic Reactions
Kinetics of reactions in the simultaneous presence of amylose and pullulan indicated that the observed rates of formation of products closely matched those predicted by a kientic model in which the α-1,4 and α- 1,6 hydrolytic reactions were catalyzed at two independent active sites.
The Crystal Structure of an Oxidatively Stable Subtilisin-like Alkaline Serine Protease, KP-43, with a C-terminal β-Barrel Domain*
The results, as well as the β-casein digestion pattern analysis, have indicated that the oxidation of the methionine adjacent to the catalytic serine is not a dominant modification but might alter the substrate specificities.
Purification and Some Properties of an Alkaline Pullulanase from Alkalophilic Bacillus sp.KSM-1876
A novel alkaline pullulanase (pullulan 6-glucanohydrolase, EC 18.104.22.168) was purified to homogeneity from the culture filtrate of the alkalophilic Bacillus sp. KSM-1876. The pullulanase had an optimum…
Purification and characterization of an alkaline isoamylase from an alkalophilic strain of Bacillus
Summary: Alkaline isoamylase (glycogen 6-glucanohydrolase, EC 22.214.171.124) activity was detected in the culture medium of an alkalophilic strain of Bacillus sp., designated KSM-3309, which was isolated…

The large-scale production of a high-alkaline protease (M-protease) from alkaliphilic Bacillus clausii KSM-K16 is succeeded, and the enzyme has been introduced into compact heavy-duty laundry detergents.
Enzymatic Properties of a Novel Liquefying α-Amylase from an Alkaliphilic Bacillus Isolate and Entire Nucleotide and Amino Acid Sequences
The sequence of LAMY was consistent with the tertiary structures of reported amylolytic enzymes, which are composed of domains A, B, and C and which include the well-known (α/β)8 barrel motif in domain A.
Purification and characterization of an alkaline amylopullulanase with both α-1,4 and α-1,6 hydrolytic activity from alkalophilic Bacillus sp. KSM-1378
Nucleotide sequence of the gene that encodes a neopullulanase from an alkalophilic Bacillus.
A novel species of alkaliphilic Bacillus that produces an oxidatively stable alkaline serine protease
This novel strain produces a new class of protease, an oxidatively stable serine protease that is suitable for use in bleach-based detergents and is proposed as a novel species of alkaliphilic Bacillus.
