A method for accurate estimation of leaf area density (LAD) and the cumulative leaf area index (LAI) profiles of small trees (Camellia sasanqua and Deutzia crenata) under different conditions was
3D lidar imaging for detecting and understanding plant responses and canopy structure.
The use of 3D lidar imaging to estimate plant properties such as canopy height, canopy structure, carbon stock, and species is demonstrated, and plant growth and shape responses are assessed by reviewing the development of lidar systems and their applications from the leaf level to canopy remote sensing.
Seed Germination and Radicle Growth of a Halophyte, Kalidium caspicum (Chenopodiaceae)
The high sensitivity of small radicles of this species to salinity indicated that salt must be removed from the soil surface for seedling establishment.

Factors that contribute to the accuracy of estimating woody canopy's leaf area density (LAD) using 3D portable lidar imaging were investigated and the presence of non-photosynthetic tissues, distribution of leaf inclination angles, and number (N) of incident laser beams in each region within the canopy were investigated.
The Difference in Sterility due to High Temperatures during the Flowering Period among Japonica-Rice Varieties
It is concluded that sure pollination under high-temperature conditions is an important factor and that the high-Temperature tolerance of the processes following pollen germination is also required for fertility under excessively high temperature conditions.
Rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars tolerant to high temperature at flowering: anther characteristics.
It is concluded that the tight closure of the locules by the cell layers delayed locule opening, and decreased fertility at high temperatures.
Seed germination and seedling emergence of three annuals growing on desert sand dunes in China.
Investigating the effects of irrigation and seed burial depth in sand on seedling emergence and seedling survival in three annuals commonly growing on sand dunes in Chinese deserts found Precipitation is the most crucial factor in determining the seasonal emergence of seedlings of the three tested species in the field.
High Temperature-Induced Spikelet Sterility of Japonica Rice at Flowering in Relation to Air Temperature, Humidity and Wind Velocity Conditions
The purpose of this study was to clarify the critical temperature for high temperature-induced spikelet sterility at the time of flowering in japonica rices and how it is affected by humidity and wind velocity.
