Understanding the mechanisms of injury has led to multiple approaches to prevention and potential approaches to treatment and the experimental approaches in these studies with cisplatin are potentially applicable to other drugs causing renal dysfunction.
Cardiac Vasoplegia Syndrome: Pathophysiology, Risk Factors and Treatment
The pathophysiology of the vasoplegia syndrome and associated risk factors for this complication are discussed, current therapeutic strategies are outlined and some studies suggest that methylene blue can reverse refractory hypotension in these patients.
