Arabidopsis CYP94B3 encodes jasmonyl-L-isoleucine 12-hydroxylase, a key enzyme in the oxidative catabolism of jasmonate.
The kinetics of wound-induced accumulation of 12-hydroxyJA-Ile in plants were examined, and its involvement in the plant wound response is described, demonstrating that CYP94B3 plays a major regulatory role in controlling the level of JA-Iel in plants.
OsJAR1 and OsJAR2 are jasmonyl-L-isoleucine synthases involved in wound- and pathogen-induced jasmonic acid signalling.
The data suggest that these two JA-Ile synthases are differentially involved in the activation of JA signalling in response to wounding and pathogen challenge in rice.
Bacterial Alarmone, Guanosine 5′‐Diphosphate 3′‐Diphosphate (ppGpp), Predominantly Binds the β′ Subunit of Plastid‐Encoded Plastid RNA Polymerase in Chloroplasts
Cross‐linking experiments with 6‐thioguanosine 5′‐diphosphate 3′‐ diph phosphate (6‐thioppGpp) and chloroplast RNA polymerase indicate that ppGpp binds the β′ subunit of Plastid‐encoded plastid RNA polymerases that corresponds to the Escherichia coli β′Subunit.
Screening of Indonesian medicinal plant extracts for antibabesial activity and isolation of new quassinoids from Brucea javanica.
Boiled extracts derived from 28 Indonesian medicinal plants were screened for their antibabesial activity against Babesia gibsoni in vitro. Of these extracts, the fruit of Brucea javanica was the
Novel Cyclic Peptide, Epichlicin, from the Endophytic Fungus, Epichloe typhina
The novel cyclic peptide, epichlicin, was isolated from Epichloe typhina, an endophytic fungus of the timothy plant and showed inhibitory activity toward the spore germination of Cladosporium phlei.
Biosynthesis of jasmonic acid in a plant pathogenic fungus, Lasiodiplodia theobromae.
Data suggest that JA biosynthesis in L. theobromae is similar to that in plants, but differing in the facial selectivity of the enone reduction, opposite to that observed in plants.
Cloning and Functional Analysis of an Allene Oxide Synthase in Physcomitrella patens
The existence of allene oxide synthase (AOS), an enzyme of JA biosynthesis, in Physcomitrella patens, a model plant among mosses, suggests that the octadecanoid pathway also exists in P. patens.
Simultaneous UPLC MS/MS analysis of endogenous jasmonic acid, salicylic acid, and their related compounds
It was demonstrated that accumulation of JA, SA and their related compounds were induced in both case of TMV infection and abiotic stresses and the practicality of the newly developed method was proved.
Subulatin, an Antioxidic Caffeic Acid Derivative Isolated from the In Vitro Cultured Liverworts, Jungermannia subulata, Lophocolea heterophylla, and Scapania parvitexta
The new caffeic acid derivative, subulatin (1), was isolated from in vitro cultured liverworts, Jungermannia subulata, Lophocolea heterophylla, and Scapania parvitexta and the antioxidative activity of 1 was comparable to that of α-tocopherol.
Synthesis of chlorophyll a and β-carotene from 2H- and13C-labelled mevalonates and 13C-labelled glycine incultured cells of liverworts, Heteroscyphus planus andLophocolea heterophylla
2 H- And 13C-labelled mevalonates (MVA) are incorporated at a higher rate into the phytyl side-chain of chlorophyll a and β-carotene than into diterpenes in suspension cultures of liverworts,
