The aim of this work is to survey the compounds of tropane and related structures, collecting and collating the available data relating chemical structure and pharmacological action, from the study of the stereostructure of the tropane alkaloids.
Synthesis of Quaternary Compounds possessing Lasting Local Anæsthetic Action
Alkyl- and aralkyl-quaternary compounds have been used in experiments and it has been found that ganglionic blocking and curare-like action of quaternARY compounds are to a great extent dependent upon the type of chain the nitrogen is quaternarized with.
