Calibration of the Lutetium-Hafnium Clock
The existence of strongly unradiogenic hafnium in Early Archean and Hadean zircons implies that enriched crustal reservoirs existed on Earth by 4.3 billion years ago and persisted for 200 million years or more, and current models of early terrestrial differentiation need revision.
Rapid accretion and early core formation on asteroids and the terrestrial planets from Hf–W chronometry
It is concluded that core formation in the terrestrial planets and the formation of the Moon must have occurred during the first ∼30 million years of the life of the Solar System.

High-precision measurements of Nb/Ta and Zr/Hf reveal that Nb is moderately siderophile at high pressures, and can be linked in time with the final core-mantle equilibration on Earth 4.533 billion years ago.
The thermal history of the Eastern Ghats Belt (India) as revealed by U–Pb and 40Ar/39Ar dating of metamorphic and magmatic minerals: implications for the SWEAT correlation
Evolution of the Continental Crust in the Proterozoic Eastern Ghats Belt, India and new constraints for Rodinia reconstruction: implications from Sm–Nd, Rb–Sr and Pb–Pb isotopes ☆
Early core formation in asteroids and late accretion of chondrite parent bodies: Evidence from 182Hf-182W in CAIs, metal-rich chondrites, and iron meteorites
Evidence for a 2 Ga subduction zone: Eclogites in the Usagaran belt of Tanzania
U-Pb geochronology on metamorphic minerals from a 35-km-long belt of eclogite-facies rocks in central Tanzania yields a Paleoproterozoic age of 2 Ga for the time of metamorphism. Peak metamorphic…
182Hf-182W isotope systematics of chondrites, eucrites, and martian meteorites: Chronology of core formation and early mantle differentiation in Vesta and Mars
Interpretation of discordant U‐Pb zircon ages: An evaluation
The most widely used technique for the determination of high precision mineral growth ages in igneous and metamorphic rocks is dating of zircons with the U‐Pb method. The interpretation of these…
