- Y. Kimura, P. Wilder-Smith, K. Yonaga, K. Matsumoto
- MedicineJournal of Clinical Periodontology
- 1 October 2000
The role of lasers for the treatment of dentine hypersensitivity since 1985 is reviewed, many research reports from the last decade are summarised, and what the future may hold for lasers in this treatment is surmised.
Effects of erbium, chromium:YSGG laser irradiation on root canal walls: a scanning electron microscopic and thermographic study.
- R. Yamazaki, C. Goya, D. G. Yu, Y. Kimura, K. Matsumoto
- Materials Science, MedicineJournal of Endodontics
- 2001
Results of the present study indicate that erbium, chromium:YSGG laser irradiation with water spray cooling is a useful method for removal of smear layer and debris from root canals.
A comparative study of the removal of smear layer by three endodontic irrigants and two types of laser.
- F. H. Takeda, T. Harashima, Y. Kimura, K. Matsumoto
- Medicine, Materials ScienceInternational Endodontic Journal
- 1999
Irrigation with 17% EDTA, 6% phosphoric acid and 6% citric acid did not remove all the smear layer from the root-canal system, but these acidic solutions demineralized the interbular dentine around tabular openings, which became enlarged.
Osseous abnormalities of the mandibular condyle: diagnostic reliability of cone beam computed tomography compared with helical computed tomography based on an autopsy material.
- K. Honda, T. A. Larheim, K. Maruhashi, K. Matsumoto, K. Iwai
- MedicineDento maxillo facial radiology
- 1 May 2006
The cone beam CT equipment 3DX is a dose-effective and a cost-effective alternative to helical CT for the diagnostic evaluation of osseous abnormalities of the mandibular condyle.
Effects of Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation in human enamel and dentin: ablation and morphological studies.
- M. Hossain, Y. Nakamura, Y. Yamada, Y. Kimura, N. Matsumoto, K. Matsumoto
- Medicine, Materials ScienceJournal of clinical laser medicine & surgery
- 1 December 1999
Results suggest that during the Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation, water spray directed at the ablation sites increases theAblation depths and water plays an important role as an initiator of the ablator of dental hard tissues.
Ablation depths and morphological changes in human enamel and dentin after Er:YAG laser irradiation with or without water mist.
- M. Hossain, Y. Nakamura, Y. Yamada, Y. Kimura, G. Nakamura, K. Matsumoto
- Medicine, Materials ScienceJournal of clinical laser medicine & surgery
- 1 June 1999
Morphological findings by SEM indicated that Er:YAG laser irradiation with water mist could produce the cavities without signs of thermal damage to the surrounding enamel and dentin.
Caries-preventive effect of Er:YAG laser irradiation with or without water mist.
- M. Hossain, Y. Nakamura, Y. Kimura, Y. Yamada, M. Ito, K. Matsumoto
- Medicine, Materials ScienceJournal of clinical laser medicine & surgery
- 1 April 2000
The results of this study suggest that Er:YAG laser irradition with and without water mist appears to be more effective for caries prevention.
Atomic analysis and knoop hardness measurement of the cavity floor prepared by Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation in vitro.
- M. Hossain, Y. Nakamura, Y. Tamaki, Y. Yamada, Y. Murakami, K. Matsumoto
- MedicineJournal of Oral Rehabilitation
- 1 May 2003
The compositional changes and knoop hardness of the cavity floor prepared by Er,Cr:YSGG laser irradiation was compared with that of the conventional bur cavity and showed that the quantities of Ca and P were increased significantly but no significant differences were found between the Ca/P ratio and Knoop hardness number of laser and bur cavities.
Cytokine profile in synovial fluid from patients with internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint: a preliminary study.
- K. Matsumoto, K. Honda, K. Otsuka
- Biology, MedicineDento maxillo facial radiology
- 1 November 2006
This study confirmed previous reports of elevated cytokine levels in TMD and identified previously undescribed cytokines that were upregulated and correlated significantly with the presence of JE.
