This study suggested the Wx gene was one of the targets in the selection process during domestication and Ks values and estimation of evolutionary events indicate early divergence of S. italica among cereal crops. Expand
Pretreatment with glucocorticoid is essential for lactogenic induction of the bovine beta-casein/CAT expression in HC11 cells.
It could be concluded that a long-term dexamethasone pretreatment is essential for lactogenic induction of the bovine beta-casein expression and the 0.3 kb proximal promoter region is important, but more distal promoter element(s) is necessary for mediating the coordinated action of lactogenic hormones to the bovo beta- casein expression. An efficient expression of human growth hormone (hGH) in the milk of transgenic mice using rat Β-casein/hGH fusion genes
The rat Β-casein/hGH fusion gene could direct an efficient production of h GH in a highly tissue-and stage-specific manner in the transgenic mice and the 3′ flanking sequences of hGH gene had an important role for the efficient expression. Expand
Cloning and characterization of a type II integral transmembrane protein gene, Itm2c, that is highly expressed in the mouse brain.
The results from this study suggest that the cloned Itm2c is a member of the Itm 2 family that is specifically expressed in adult brains, unlike other members. Expand
Expression of bovine inhibin β subunit in Escherichia coli
Analysis by immunoblotting and competitive radioimmuno assay revealed that the fusion protein was recognized by a monoclonal antibody raised against a chemically synthesized peptide for amino acid residues from +82 to +114 of the β subunit of the bovine inhibin thereby confirming its identity. Expand
Differential expression of ferritin heavy chain in THP‐1 cells infected with Mycobacterium bovis BCG

Northern blot analysis confirmed that ferritin H chain gene has been markedly over‐expressed in monocytic THP‐1 cells incubated with live and dead M. bovis BCG and could provide information about the response of macrophages to mycobacterial infection. Expand
Expression of bovine inhibin beta subunit in Escherichia coli.
C Cultures of Escherichia coli TG2 harbouring pKDK37, a pUR291-derived recombinant plasmid, produced a novel protein with a molecular weight of 130,000 corresponding to a beta-galactosidase-inhibin beta fusion protein, which was recognized by a monoclonal antibody raised against a chemically synthesized peptide thereby confirming its identity. Expand
Expression analysis of UV-B signaling genes in soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.].
Go and KEGG pathway database was used to identify mTOR signaling and phosphatidylinositol signaling pathways and specific focus was given to a serial of genes involved in UV-B defense signaling, besides photomorphogenesis and oxidation reduction-related genes. Expand
