LEACH-MAC: a new cluster head selection algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks
This paper presents an approach which attempts to control the randomness present in LEACH’s clustering algorithm, and makes the cluster head count stable.
NSF/IEEE-TCPP curriculum initiative on parallel and distributed computing: core topics for undergraduates
Visual Studio 2010 and the .NET Framework 4 enhance support for parallel programming by providing a new runtime, new class library types, and new diagnostic tools that simplify parallel development so that you can write efficient, fine-grained, and scalable parallel code in a natural idiom.
Characterization of E-Commerce Traffic

- Computer ScienceInternational Workshop on Advanced Issues of E…
- 26 June 2002
High degree of self-similarity was found in the traffic (higher than that observed in general Web-environment) and this implies that the heavy-tailed transfer times are actually caused by the behavior of back-end service time.
Smart Sensing, Communication, and Control in Perishable Food Supply Chain
This article discusses how developments can be exploited to turn fresh food logistics into an intelligent cyberphysical system driven by online monitoring and associated operational control to enhance food freshness and safety, reduce food waste, and increase T8D efficiency.
Handbook on Securing Cyber-Physical Critical Infrastructure
IoT-Based Sensing and Communications Infrastructure for the Fresh Food Supply Chain
IoT-based mechanisms can substantially reduce food waste, improve transportation and distribution efficiency, and support quick removal of contaminated or spoiled products from the fresh food supply chain.
DoX: A Peer-to-Peer Antidote for DNS Cache Poisoning Attacks
- Lihua Yuan, K. Kant, P. Mohapatra, C. Chuah
- Computer ScienceIEEE International Conference on Communications
- 11 December 2006
This paper proposes DoX, a peer-to-peer based scheme, to detect and correct inaccurate DNS records caused by cache poisoning attacks, and helps DNS servers to improve cache consistency by detecting and removing obsolete records.
Server Capacity Planning for Web Traffic Workload
Broadband requirements for various hardware components of a World Wide Web server are derived and reduction in memory/data bus bandwidth by using the virtual interface architecture (VIA) is very desirable, and the connectivity needs may go well beyond the capabilities of traditional systems based on the traditional PCI-bus.
