Sexual transfer of specific genes without gametic fusion
- K. K. Pandey
- BiologyNature
- 24 July 1975
Experimental results are described which suggest a possible new technique for more rapid transfer of desired genes between two organisms.
Length of stomata as an indicator of ploidy level in Actinidia deliciosa
- L. Przywara, K. K. Pandey, P. M. Sanders
- Biology
- 1 April 1988
It is concluded that measurement of stomata length is a rapid technique for identifying ploidy level in kiwifruit.

Elements of the S -gene complex II. 1 Mutation and complementation at the S I locus in Nicotiana alata
Elements of the S -gene complex

The overall results agree with the assumption that the S FI gene produces two kinds of specificity in the style: primary specificity, which is responsible for the rejection of S f pollen; and secondary specificity, responsible for the rejected self-pollen as in S I alleles generally.
Interspecific Hybridisation Between Trifolium repens and T. uniflorum
- K. K. Pandey, J. Grant, E. Williams
- Biology
- 1987
One F1 hybrid proved to be highly self-compatible, although derived from self-incompatible parent species, and several partially fertile hybrids were produced by embryo culture from crosses of the type T. repens and T. uniflorum.
Colchicine-induced changes in the self-incompatibility behaviour ofNicotiana
- K. K. Pandey
- BiologyGenetica
- 1 March 1968
Alterations of the self-incompatibility reaction, other than that due to competitive interaction, are ascribed here to changes in certain non-genetic, particulate or non-particulate cytoplasmic constituents.
Elements of theS-gene complex V. Interspecific cross-compatibility relationships and theory of the evolution of theS complex
- K. K. Pandey
- BiologyGenetica
- 1 December 1969
It is suggested that the rise of a primeval, specificity element in the nucleus, early in the evolution of plants, produced, through duplication and redifferentiation, an easy means for the development of diverse sexual mechanisms in plants.
Gametic gene transfer in Nicotiana by means of irradiated pollen
- K. K. Pandey
- BiologyGenetica
- 1 August 1978
Evidence is presented that in Nicotiam pollination with highly irradiated (100,000 r), ‘killed’ compatible pollen can cause certain genes from the pollen to be transferred to the egg without proper…
