A new and sensitive method for measuring thermal nociception in cutaneous hyperalgesia
Both the thermal method and the Randall‐Selitto mechanical method detected dose‐related hyperalgesia and its blockade by either morphine or indomethacin, but the Thermal method showed greater bioassay sensitivity and allowed for the measurement of other behavioral parameters in addition to the nociceptive threshold. Regenerative endodontics: a review of current status and a call for action.
An overview of the methodological issues required to develop potential regenerative endodontic therapies is provided, and a call for action is presented to develop these therapies for clinical use. Expand
Cannabinoids reduce hyperalgesia and inflammation via interaction with peripheral CB1 receptors
The results indicate that cannabinoids reduce inflammation via interaction with a peripheral CB1 receptor, and a potential mechanism for this effect is the inhibition of neurosecretion from capsaicin‐sensitive primary afferent fibers. Expand

Distinct ATP receptors on pain-sensing and stretch-sensing neurons
Results support the theory that P2X3 receptors mediate a form of nociception, but also suggest non-nociceptive roles for ATP in sensory neurons. Expand
P2X3 is expressed by DRG neurons that terminate in inner lamina II
The results suggest that P2X3 is expressed by a functionally heterogeneous population of BSI‐B4‐binding sensory neurons, and is transported into both central and peripheral processes of these neurons. Expand
Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19): Implications for Clinical Dental Care
A brief overview of the epidemiology, symptoms, and routes of transmission of this novel infection is provided and specific recommendations for dental practice are suggested for patient screening, infection control strategies, and patient management protocol. Expand
A retrospective evaluation of radiographic outcomes in immature teeth with necrotic root canal systems treated with regenerative endodontic procedures.
INTRODUCTION Several case reports on endodontic regeneration involving immature permanent teeth have recently been published. These case series have used varying treatments to achieve endodonticExpand
Effect of irrigants on the survival of human stem cells of the apical papilla in a platelet-rich plasma scaffold in human root tips.
It is suggested that irrigants alone greatly affect the survivability of STRO-1-enriched SCAP within the root canal environment and that inclusion of EDTA in irrigation protocols might be beneficial in regenerative procedures. Expand
Mahidol study 1: comparison of radiographic and survival outcomes of immature teeth treated with either regenerative endodontic or apexification methods: a retrospective study.
In this study, revascularization was associated with significantly greater increases in root length and thickness in comparison with calcium hydroxide apexification and MTA apexification as well as excellent overall survival rates. Expand
