It is concluded that in vivo brain tin concentrations in 5-day-old rats following a neurotoxic dose of TET are sufficient to inhibit brain mitochondrial ATPase, whereas in adults, tin concentrations are insufficient for inhibition.

Major differences in the disposition and rates of elimination of tin from body tissues after TMT and TET exposure are described, and it is demonstrated that the regional disposition of tin is not related to the region-specific pathology reported following TMT exposure.
