It is shown that PARP1 is acetylated after stress of cardiomyocytes, resulting in the activation ofPARP1, which is independent of DNA damage, and that SIRT1-dependent deacetylation blocks PARP 1 activity, and it protects cells from PARp1-mediated cell death.

This study investigated the crosstalk between MT and actomyosin cytoskeleton and characterized specific molecular mechanisms of endothelial cells (EC) barrier dysfunction induced by MT inhibitor nocodazole, and suggests Rho‐kinase and MYPT1 as major Rho effectors mediating pulmonary EC barrier disruption in response to ND‐induced MT disassembly.

Analysis of redistribution of FA proteins and site‐specific FAK ty‐ rosine phosphorylation in human pulmonary artery endothelial cells stimulated with thrombin highlighted the differen‐ tial mechanisms of focal adhesion protein complex remodeling and FAK activation by S1P and throm bin and link differential FA remodeling to EC barrier regulation.
