The effect of malaria control on Plasmodium falciparum in Africa between 2000 and 2015
It is found that Plasmodium falciparum infection prevalence in endemic Africa halved and the incidence of clinical disease fell by 40% between 2000 and 2015, and interventions have averted 663 (542–753 credible interval) million clinical cases since 2000.
Global, regional, and national comparative risk assessment of 84 behavioural, environmental and occupational, and metabolic risks or clusters of risks, 1990–2016: a systematic analysis for the Global…
G6PD Deficiency Prevalence and Estimates of Affected Populations in Malaria Endemic Countries: A Geostatistical Model-Based Map
A map of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency prevalence and severity is presented and individuals with the deficiency are at risk of mild to severe hemolysis when taking the antimalarial primaquine.
Global spread of dengue virus types: mapping the 70 year history
A Long Neglected World Malaria Map: Plasmodium vivax Endemicity in 2010
This first systematic effort to map the global endemicity of Plasmodium vivax is presented, intended to contribute to a much-needed paradigm shift towards geographically stratified and evidence-based planning for P. v Vivax control and elimination.

The Ross-Macdonald theory has since played a central role in development of research on mosquito-borne pathogen transmission and the development of strategies for mosquitoes-borne disease prevention.
Plasmodium vivax Transmission in Africa
Analysis of the mechanisms sustaining Pv transmission across this continent of low frequency of susceptible hosts found that reports of Pv prevalence were consistent with transmission being potentially limited to Duffy positive populations, and reports of apparent Duffy-independent transmission are discussed.
Global, regional, and national disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) for 333 diseases and injuries and healthy life expectancy (HALE) for 195 countries and territories, 1990–2016: a systematic…
A global map of travel time to cities to assess inequalities in accessibility in 2015
A map that quantifies travel time to cities for 2015 at a spatial resolution of approximately one by one kilometre is developed and validated and it is demonstrated how access to urban centres stratifies the economic, educational, and health status of humanity.
