Strain HA-9T contained meso-diaminopimelic acid, no diagnostic sugars, hexa- or octa-hydrogenated menaquinones with 10 isoprene units, straight-chain saturated or monounsaturated, and type III phospholipids, which consistently assign the isolate to the genus Nocardiopsis.
Phylogenetic analysis of Bacillus subtilis and related taxa based on partial gyrA gene sequences
It is concluded from the comparative sequence analysis that the gyrA sequences provide a firm framework for the rapid and accurate classification and identification of Bacillus subtilis and related taxa.
