- BiologyExperimental Brain Research
- 15 November 1978
It is concluded that the subthalamic nucleus is a convergence site of pallidal and corticomotor and frontal projections and may exert an influence on the pallido-subthalamic-pallidal inhibitory feedback loop.
Efferent connections of cortical, area 8 (frontal eye field) in Macaca fascicularis. A reinvestigation using the autoradiographic technique
The efferent projections from the cortical area 8 (frontal eye field) have been re‐examined in four adult monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) by injecting small amounts of H3 ‐proline into the rostral bank…

Medial rectus subgroups of the oculomotor nucleus and their abducens internuclear input in the monkey

A new picture of the internal OMN organization is provided, and the physiological findings that the abducens internuclear pathway activates only MR motoneurons are supported.
The fine structure of freeze-fractured presynaptic membranes

- BiologyJournal of Neurocytology
- 1 September 1972
Electron micrographs of presynaptic membrane faces were obtained from replicas of aldehyde-fixed, freeze-fractured neuropil of mammalian and avian C.N.S. and evidence is presented that the protuberances are temporary attachment sites of transmitter vesicles to the presynptic membrane.
