AN ATTEMPT TO STUDY THE EFFECTS OF CHEMICAL STRUCTURE ON THE AFFINITY AND EFFICACY OF COMPOUNDS RELATED TO ACETYLCHOLINE.
TLDR
It is concluded that the action of acetylcholine at the postganglionic parasympathetic receptors in the guinea-pig ileum depends upon the presence of the 4-carbonyl group (and presumably the onium group) for affinity and on the 3-ether oxygen atom and the trimethylammonium group for efficacy.
The isolation of nuclear envelopes. Effects of thiol-group oxidation and of calcium ions.
TLDR
It is recommended that for most purposes, nuclear envelopes be isolated by the newly developed high-ionic-strength procedure, irrespective of the method used, Ca2+-chelators be included in all the buffers, and thiol-group oxidation be prevented or reversed during the procedure.

THE LOCAL ANAESTHETIC PROPERTIES OF A SERIES OF N‐SUBSTITUTED p‐AMINOBENZOIC ACID ESTERS OF TROPINE
The local anaesthetic properties and toxicities of a series of N‐sub‐stituted p‐aminobenzoic acid esters of α‐ and β‐tropine were investigated. No consistent differences in local anaesthetic activity
