A completely integrated 2.4GHz low-power low-phase-noise voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) was implemented in a standard 0.18/spl mu/m CMOS single-poly, 6-metal mixed-signal CMOS process. The VCO-core draws 1.5mA of current from a 1.2V supply. Comparison shows that this design has better performance than previously published similar results.
Clinicians' patient care information needs are frequent and largely unmet. Online knowledge resources are available that can help clinicians meet these information needs. Yet, significant barriers limit the use of these resources within the clinical workflow. Infobuttons are clinical decision support tools that use the clinical context (e.g., institution,(More)
The present study was designed to investigate 2 features of maxillary growth following Millard rotation-advancement and Tennison triangular flap cleft lip repairs in rabbits with surgically created defects simulating unilateral cleft lip and cleft alveolus. Sixty purebred New Zealand rabbits were used in this experiment. The animals were divided into 4(More)
Infobuttons have proven to be an important element in modern electronic health records (EHR), providing educational materials to both providers and patients. However, the usage of infobuttons in personalized health records (PHR) is only lightly documented in the literature. Patient-facing infobuttons pose a new challenge because patients have different(More)
BACKGROUND The Chinese bayberry (Myrica rubra Sieb. and Zucc.) is a subtropical fruit native to China, with unique flavor, sweet and sour taste, and high nutrition and health values. The fruit is highly perishable and susceptible to mechanical injury, physiological deterioration and fungal decay once harvested. This study was to investigate the effect of(More)
Animated trees are important in the creation of virtual worlds, games, and animation, and can be used as visual cues for weather and mood in visual storytelling. We address the problem of animating natural trees in the wind, making use of an optical motion capture system. By recording tree motion using a motion capture system, we avoid building complicated(More)
Elucidation of the molecular mechanisms that regulate the differentiation of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells into osteogenic cells may lead to new methods for bone tissue engineering. We examined the role of miR-26a-5p in the regulation of osteogenic differentiation of mouse adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (mADSCs) by using mimics and(More)
Infobuttons have been established to be an effective resource for addressing information needs at the point of care, as evidenced by recent research and their inclusion in government-based electronic health record incentive programs in the United States. Yet their utility has been limited to wide success for only a specific set of domains (lab data,(More)
